Tattoo art has had a rise in popularity over the past few decades, and today, tattoos are almost as popular as never before. A tattoo is a permanent marking, made by inserting ink into the lower levels of the skin, which changes it's pigmentation. The main use is, of course, aesthetic modification, to an otherwise bleak and uniformly colored skin.

Background information

History

Tattooing has been practiced for centuries. It started in Euroasia, presumably around the Neolithic times. The ice mummy, Ötzi, found in the Ötztaler Alpen, in Austria, dating back to 5.000 BC, was found to have 57 carbon tattoos, a technique where coal is used to inscribe the tattoos. Tattooing has also been found in ancient Japan, where it is believed to go back to the Paleolithic era, which dates back around 10.000 years. Many cultures had tattooing traditions. Some were simple, such as rubbing ash into their wounds, which is another form of carbon tattooing. Other cultures were almost as developed as the art is today, hand-prickling the skin to insert dyes.

The technique, in principle, has not changed very much. A tattoo is created by inserting colored materials inside the skin's surface.

Medical ideas and principles

Tattooing, fortunatly for all who wish to have one, has, unless the user has allergies, no side effects, and bears no health risks whatsoever. There are diffrent procedures as to how to make a tattoo, however the principle is always the same. The most common method of tattooing today is with an electric tattoo machine, which inserts the colored ink directly into the skin via a group of needles. This machine then punctures the skin around 80-150 times per second, resulting in a razor-sharp outline and maximum profiency.

If good procedures are followed, tattooing cannot transmit any diseaes, since tattooists are required to use new needles every time, which are packed individually and are totally sterile. Also, the tattooist must wash his hands, and the portion of the skin where the tattoo is to be applied.

Biological explanation

Tattooing, as stated above, simply involves the placement of pigment into the skin's dermis, the layer of connective tissue, with the underlying epidermis. After an initial injection, the pigments are dispersed throughout the damaged layer down through the epidermis and the dermis, in both of which the presence of a foreign material activates the immune system, resulting in the "engulfing" of the pigment particles by the so called pagocytes. As the healing proceeds, the damaged epidermis flakes away, but the pigments still stay in the dermis, which results in the permanent holding of the tattoo.

Getting tattoos

Getting a tattoo made today is neither difficult nor expensive. There are plenty of tattooist who are experts at what they do.

There are of course, always two types of tattoos. Permanent tattoos are far more popluar, however their main drawback is, of course, that they are permanent. As such, you wouldn't want a bad or half-hearted tattoo on your skin, if it is to stay there for as long as you live.

Sometimes the tattooist may not have the motive you are looking for. So the main thing we focus on is getting you such a motive.

There are many stoes and webpages which offer tattoo motives and designs, and the collections can be huge. All that then has to be done is to order said tattoo, bring it to the tattooist, and this person should be able to apply it without loss of quality or shape.

For the shops we have chosen for you on this matter, please see above, or below.

Removal

Should you find yourself with a tattoo art that does not appeal to you anymore, or which simply does not look very beautiful, then there is also the possiblity to almost completly remove the tattoo without a trace. A professional tattooist should also be able to do this for you. The procedure should not be painless or take too long.

What you can do with it

Tattoos today are an incredible fashion. With the most modern tattooing needles, the tattoos can be in an almost perfect quality. The only hard decision is which tattoo art to take.

A tattoo can always be an enhancement to your beauty. Simply put: The skin in it's uniform color is bleak, and applying a tattoo removes this bleakness, and leads to a lot of excitment when seen. Thus, a tattoo can be enjoyable for anyone. There is no restriction as to where the tattoo is put. It can be almost everywhere, and the surprise can be all the greater for tattoos, ideally placed.

Tattoo types

With tattoo art, much with like everything else, one has to know what one wants. There are of course, temporary tattoos, which do not stay for a lifetime, and permanent tattoos. However, the diffrence with these tattoos is in the procedure, and not in the motive, on which we will focus on this part.

Tattoo designs (for personal use)

If you intend to have a tattoo made on you, but your tattooist does not offer the motive you are looking for, it is possible to buy, and be sent via mail, a huge amount of tattoo designs from the internet. All which then needs to be done is to bring this motive to the tattooist, which will then hopefully be able to insert this motive for you. There are many many addresses to look, however, here we estimate, that a good adress would probably be this one

On this adress you should find what you are looking for. It has a huge collection of tattoo art motives which you can order directly to your home, at, to our best understanding, very reasonable prices and good quality, which should fulfill your needs, wheter you wish to let yourself be tattooed with the buyed motive, or if you wish to use it in your business (see below).

There are also tattoo shops with memberships, where designs are not paid per piece, but where as a paying member you have access to a whole gallery. A good site for this can be found here

Also, should you be looking for a tattoo site which even offers courses, aside from a big collection, we can recommend this site

Tattoo designs (for businesspeople)

No matter how skilled you, or your employees may be, you will always find it difficult to fulfill your customers' needs. Much of the quality of your tattoo-business depends on wheter or not you are able to offer many designs beforehand, without your customers having to browse hundreds of books for it. For that, it is always wothwhile to look in the internet, and buying motives which you find appealing, or which have been known for great popularity. In this case, we wish to point you to the same adress which we advise persons which wish to use it for personal use. -> Buy Tattoo art You will find on this address, as far as we were able to determine, an excellent shop for tattoo motives, which has a good collection, is well organised, and which prices are quite reasonable for the given quality.

As above, we can also recommend these two sites: Site 1, Site 2, if you wish to use alternate payment methods, or if you wish to join the mini-tattoo courses, or simply couldn't find a good design on on of the other 2 sites.
